On behalf of Captain Midnight & myself, I want to thank Susan Mumma and the amazing crew she enlisted for the Festival. We were shown the best of hospitality on all sides. It was a lovely time in a lovely setting with lovely people. Should the opportunity allow we would love to do it again. What a treat to have been with you all and share such a celebratory event. Thank you all for inviting us to be part of it

Dearest Susan and Simone,
I've been slammed since coming back from Seldovia. The Kate Wolf Fest. was beautiful and wonderful this year as we all washed each other in Utah's good vibrations, I helped inaugurate a newly renamed stage in Utah's honor, "Utahpia".
Before heading back out to High Sierra Fest. and The Swannanoa Gathering in NC where I'll be teaching at Fiddle Week, I want to thank you soooooo much for inviting me to come be part of The SSSMF '08 edition! I had a terrific time and your gracious and loving hospitality, combined with your crazy and fun passion for what you do, helped make for an experience I'll long remember.
I'd love to come back sometime for an education residency and perhaps house concert or otherwise. I really felt connected, once again, to your community.
Thank you both for all you do for your community!

Just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s music festival. Six of us came across to the community for the weekend and attended the festival as well as enjoying the spectacular scenery and browsing the shops there.

Dear Susan,
Thank you for organizing the Seldovia Music Festival. We traveled from the Mat-Su Valley with 2 other couples to enjoy the talent, music, and hospitality of Seldovia. While we understand some community members do not take advantage of this great opportunity, we hope that you and the Arts Council will continue to bring the Summer Solstice Music Festival to Seldovia.
Clearly, local businesses also gain some income from this event. We stayed at a local b&b, bought a few groceries, gifts, and moored our boat at the harbor. Granted this was not a huge economic influx to Seldovia, but it was about $300.00 per couple.
Perhaps offering local community members a reduced ticket cost or other incentive may boost local attendance. Again, thank you for all your dedication, efforts, and love of the arts.
